The Gathering Podcast - Polycrisis and Feminist Responses

Play0:00-0:001 hr 4 min

In the first half of the conversation on African Feminisms and Polycrisis, Marilyn Kamuru and Brenda Wambui introduce the dimensions of polycrisis, the history of the term, and its implications on African women in particular. They discuss the role of the State, whose role tends to be invisibilised despite its perpetuation of polycrisis through either action or inaction. They also discuss critique on the framing of polycrisis, and introduce the ways in which African women, and the wider African and Global South population, can combat polycrisis and the despair it comes with.
